Anti-Cavity Maintenance Rinse
16 fl oz bottle (approximately 48 doses per bottle), recommended for ages 6+, and made in the USA!
No, our Maintenance Rinse is completely dye and alcohol-free!
What is the pH?
Our Maintenance Rinse has a pH of ~8.
How strong is the mint flavor?
While we get rave reviews on the mint flavor, some may find the menthol to be strong. If you’re looking for a great-tasting, mild alternative we recommend trying our citrus or grape flavors.
How is the Maintenance Rinse different from the Treatment Rinse?
Maintenance Rinse does not contain the antibacterial component, sodium hypochlorite. Good news is, it tastes much better and does not stain! Note: the rinses are not intended to be used at the same time.
Review by Dwaine C. on 4 Mar 2025review stating Excellent product!
This product (and previous version) was recommended (well, required) by my wife, a dental hygienist for 50+ years. I can attest, she knows what she's talking about. I have no reason to be nervous about any dental appointment, knowing the combination of home care and CariFree will always exact the statement: "Wow, your teeth and gums look great!" Review by Donna S. on 22 Sep 2024review stating Works wonders
I love the tastes of all the rinses, however I really enjoy mixing the citrus and mint together. These products have worked wonders for my teeth. I was unable to visit the Dentist for close to 2 years, due to hospitaliztions and when I did go, they were amazed at my teeth. They looked as good as 2 years prior. Had to be Carifree!!
Q: Can you clarify if it’s from GMO or Non-GMO corn?
CariFree

Q: Is your xylitol from GMO corn?
Also, do I use the mouthwash before or after brushing?
CariFree
03/07/25
A: Yes, our xylitol is derived from corn. We recommend rinsing first and brushing second in order to not rinse away the nano-hydroxyapatite from the Gel.

Q: I am using this rinse because my dental hygienist recommended it, but the rinse causes intense burning of my tongue after a few seconds and it is unbearable, is this normal?
CariFree
11/02/21
A: Thanks for your question! If you're using the mint, it can be normal for the mint flavoring to cause a slight burning sensation, but some are more sensitive to it than others. We do have that rinse available in citrus and grape as well if you want to try another option. :)

Q: Just a few questions: 1. Why do the directions state to use the rinse twice daily? Why wouldn't using it once be enough? (Not enough Xylitol?) 2. As for the .05% sodium fluoride, what's the difference between using it once or twice daily (more fluoride for remineralization?) 3. The directions state to swish with 10 ml two times daily after brushing and flossing; would you personally recommend swishing right after brushing or wait 30 minutes after brushing to let the flouride on my teeth settle? And why?(would swishing possibly wash away the flouride from the toothpaste??)
I recently found out that i've got a couple of incipient caries (interproximal) so i'm going all out to try and reverse the damage and remineralize before it's too late. Definitely considering buying this rinse. Thank you in advance!
CariFree

A: Thanks for your questions! Using our rinse twice daily, alongside brushing, is our standard recommendation so that you're just not getting fluoride, but a pH boost and xylitol as well. You could certainly use it once per day if you prefer, but twice daily is what we recommend for best results. Because our gels contain nano hydroxyapatite for remineralization, we would recommend rinsing first and brushing second, then waiting 30 minutes before any rinsing/eating/drinking to allow the ingredients time before being rinsed away. It sounds like our products could be a great fit for your situation!

Q: So I am debating on if I need to get the x4 a, b mix kit or just go with this x3 rinse. So my main problem is of course I have a lot of cavities, but the scary problem is I have these white spots at the top of my teeth and 2 teeth have started with slight decay. I’ve never had teeth problems except for some cavities until past 3 years and I guessing it due to medication and acidic drinks that I didn’t drink until worked at a job where I drink caffeine to keep going, I know it’s bad but I can’t seem to cut out on it completely but I do drink way less . Since I got these problems I do brush and rinse really good and rencently flossing due to cavities all being in between my teeth. Please help and let me know which rinse is best for my issues. thanks. P.s I just got the gum and the ctx4 gel to try.

A: Thanks for your question! It seems like you already know the causes of your recent issues, so that's a good first step! I would recommend trying to cut back on the acidic drinks if you can, or at least drinking them quickly; this gives your pH time to come back up. If you sip on acidic drinks all day it can really cause issues as your pH stays at a low level all day. Our Gel 1100 will help mitigate some of these issues. If you have current decay, we do also recommend the Treatment Rinse, as it will help treat the cavity-causing bacteria in your biofilm. Any of the products will be helpful, that is definitely the best one for current decay.
