Product description

Everything your practice needs to start treating your patients based on risk factors, biofilm challenge and the presence of decay and/or decay history.  Combining the CariScreen Test and presence of decay lets the practice categorize patients into one of four risk categories, where they can then choose the appropriate level of therapy.

This package includes:
  • CariScreen Testing Meter
  • 50 CariScreen Testing Swabs
  • 3 CTx36 Kits
  • 3 CTx26 Kits
  • 3 CTx21 Kits

Assesses patients based on risk factors, biofilm challenge, and the presence of decay and/or decay history.

The CariFree Screening and Treatment System provides a practice with a complete CAMBRA system created for assessing and prescribing therapy based on three data points within the CAMBRA protocols; risk factors, biofilm challenge, and disease indicators.  CAMBRA systems use population-based studies and statistics to assist practitioners in identifying the statistical likelihood a patient will experience new caries symptoms in the next 12 months.  CAMBRA systems are designed to assess all patients within a population base (all patients) and are not designed to target a specific population (e.g. just patients with decay).  The CariFree CAMBRA system also assists practitioners in identifying patients motivation levels to reduce their risk and identify patients who do not wish to participate before chair time is spent discussing risk.  Current private practice data (1447 patients) on the CariFree CAMBRA system shows 74% of patients choose to be assessed and 45% of patients choose to move forward with some type of intervention therapy with this protocol.

Complete: Provides a complete assessment of each patient's risk for future decay, as well as multiple therapy options from which the patient can choose.

Proven: This system is designed based on statistical CAMBRA population studies performed on over 12,000 patients.

Appreciated: Patients that have been through the process understand "why" they are at risk for caries before symptoms present, and patients with symptoms can identify the specific factors driving their disease.

Changes the Conversation: When patients understand how their own individual risk factors place them at a specific risk for disease (e.g. high/extreme risk patients have an 88% chance of new caries symptoms within the next 12 months), the responsibility for the disease is transferred back to the patient.

Monitoring: Practices can monitor patient's therapy progress and modify if progress is not being made to increase the likelihood of success.

Viral: Patients that undergo CAMBRA protocols are often motivated not only to change their own behaviors, but share what they now know about what drives the disease with family and friends.

Patient centric practices with risk assessment experience, a preventive mission, an understanding of caries diagnostic criteria and pattern recognition, and good interoffice and patient communication skills.
